Dr. Aparna Bhat is a UK-trained dermatologist with a special interest in skin cancer and cutaneous allergies. She currently serves as a consultant at Queen’s Hospital, part of the Barking, Havering, and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust in Essex, where she provides care to both adult and pediatric patients across a wide range of dermatologic conditions. Dr. Bhat also holds leadership roles as the skin cancer lead, undergraduate medical education lead, and dermatology research lead within the trust.
With over 20 years of dermatology experience, Dr. Bhat is dual-trained in the field. She began her dermatology training at the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences in Bangalore, where she was awarded a gold medal for securing the top rank in university examinations. Her early career involved leading and volunteering at numerous health camps in rural India, reflecting her commitment to community service. She later relocated to the United Kingdom, completing her specialist training in dermatology through the Newcastle Deanery.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Bhat has a background in aesthetic medicine, having worked for four years with Marico Industries, pioneers in cosmetic procedures and aesthetics in India.
